How we talk about our various government officials • State lawmakers: Legislator, State Representative

• We say U.S. Congress, which is comprised of the U.S. House and Senate. • Members of the U.S. House are called U.S. Representative or Congressperson. • Members of the U.S. Senate are called Senators. Do not refer to a U.S. Senator as a Congressperson.
