ROBERT LA FAVE | VILLAGE MANAGER– COMMUNITY SOLAR ARRAY Village of L’Anse Bob is currently the village manager of the Village of L’Anse, MI for the past 13 years, where he is the chief executive officer. He oversees all aspects of government operations within the municipal unit, including all aspects of village services and utilities; including police, fire, street and public works, parks and recreation, zoning/planning, code enforcement, economic
development, the Downtown Development Authority, water, sewer, and electricity. Bob has served on the MSU-Extension/Ag Bio Research statewide board, as a trustee of the Michigan Municipal Executives (MME, formally MLGMA), and currently is a trustee for the League. Bob holds a BA fromMichigan State University’s
James Madison College, an MPA from Grand Valley State University, and currently is a PhD candidate at Michigan Technological University.
JOHN LAMACCHIA II | ASST DIRECTOR, STATE & FEDERAL AFFAIRS Michigan Municipal League John LaMacchia is the assistant director of State & Federal Affairs for the Michigan Municipal League where he advocates on behalf of cities and villages with a concentration on transportation, infrastructure, and energy issues. John joined the League in January of 2013 as a legislative associate. In 2015, he was honored by the Michigan Society of Association Executives as one of 15 in ’15 Rising Leaders.
Prior to joining the League, John served as chief of staff for former Sen. John Gleason for six years and previously working in the office of former Senate Minority Leader Bob Emerson. John has a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Michigan State University and lives in Dewitt with his wife Dana and three children.
