Elected Officials Academy (EOA) The Elected Officials Academy (EOA) is a voluntary, continuing education program for elected officials currently serving in League member communities. The EOA aims to provide local leaders with learning opportunities to ensure they stay informed on the issues impacting their communities throughout their careers in public service. With four levels for participants to complete, the EOA recognizes elected officials for their commitment to learning and the work they do to be the most effective leaders they can be. With the new League Portal, elected officials are now automatically enrolled in the EOA and can view the credits

League Affiliate Organizations For additional training, networking, and leadership opportunities, the League has several affiliate organizations that members may choose to be involved in. Newly Elected Officials (NEO) Training Upon being elected, the League highly encourages members to attend a Newly Elected Officials (NEO) Training session. Held both virtually and in-person, attending a NEO session will help educate newly elected officials on the primary functions they need to know in their new role as a public leader. On-Site Training Programs In addition to the League’s standard calendar of events, we are proud to offer on-site training programs for our member communities. With several topics to choose from, the League’s expert presenters can provide individualized training and support based on the specific needs of a community. Topics to choose from for an on-site training include parliamentary procedure, essentials of local
