Help the League celebrate its 125th anniversary on historic Mackinac Island.

The Michigan Municipal League is excited to launch the 2024 Convention Sponsorship Guide. We are fortunate to have great partners who believe in the work of the League and value our 500+ member communities. I invite you to join us this September for our annual convention as we celebrate our 125th year. This convention presents a unique opportunity for sponsors. The setting of Mackinac Island combined with the amenities provided by the Grand Hotel allow us to create new opportunities for member connections, brand exposure, and conversation with partners and other Convention attendees. When combined with stunning views of the Straits of Mackinac and copious amounts of fudge, we believe our offerings for sponsors make this the best opportunity yet for our sponsors and partners. Sponsorship levels and add-on opportunities are laid out below. Sponsorship options this year include three core levels and additional add-on options. The core levels offer exceptional value and allow you to select the audience engagement that works best for your needs. This year, we’ve also added add-on options that highlight the unique features of the Grand Hotel. Use these options to enhance a core sponsorship level, mix and match add-on options to create a custom sponsorship package, or select an item a la carte. Either way, you’ll be sure to find value and connection at each level while celebrating one of Michigan’s unique settings. Every option listed below, including core and add-on, include minimally one free Convention registration, logo placement on the Convention website, within the Convention program, and on site, and access to our registration list before and after Convention. Core Sponsorship Levels: These core sponsorships give maximum exposure and brand awareness while boosting access to the audience that is most important to you. Purchase individually or with the add-on options of your choice. Titanium–$12,000 (three available)

This includes the opportunity to be recognized during one of Convention’s general sessions. These sessions bring all attendees together and are a great opportunity to get your brand and message in front of our full audience. You’ll present a slide at the beginning of the session and have up to seven minutes of speaking time. Your logo will also be featured on a slide playing in the room before the general session begins. Session selection is on a first come, first served basis.

Silver–$3,000 This is a great option if you’re looking to get to know our members and build your brand awareness and presence through our Convention marketing. You’ll have ample opportunities to make connections and with our marketing plan, attendees will start Convention with great awareness of your support. Gold–$8,000 At this level, you’ll get great exposure to our audience by being recognized at the breakout session of your choosing. You’ll be allotted up to five minutes to address the room, will have a slide of your choosing shown, and are encouraged to bring business cards and other materials for individual follow up post session. Your logo will also be featured on a display board outside the breakout session room. This is a great chance to get your message to the right audience and to make personal connections with our members. Session selection is on a first come, first served basis. ADD - ON OPTIONS

These options may be purchased in addition to a core sponsorship, in combination with multiple add-ons, or individually as an a la carte choice.

Hospitality After Hours Reception–$5,000 (two available) Socialize with Convention attendees by hosting an after hours reception. Our staff will help reserve a room within the Grand Hotel, provide you with a list of Convention attendees to invite, and issue invitations. All costs, including food, beverage, and drink minimums, are the sponsor’s responsibility. Please contact League staff for price estimates if needed. Receptions will be held in the Grand Hotel within their social areas; private suites are not available. These are available on a first come, first served basis. This option includes one registration and access to the Convention registration list. Your logo will be featured on the Convention website, within the program, and on signage. Scheduling options are:

Welcome Reception–$10,000 (one available) Sponsor our Welcome Reception on the iconic front porch of the Grand Hotel! The Welcome Reception is Wednesday, September 11, at and is a key networking event of Convention. You’ll be recognized in our welcome remarks and will be allotted up to five minutes to address attendees. This option includes two registrations and access to the Convention registration list. Your logo will be featured on the Convention website, within the program, and on signage. Board of Trustees Dinner–$8,000 (one available) Enjoy dinner with our board of trustees, some of the state’s leading municipal managers, on Tuesday, September 10, and provide up to five minutes of remarks to dinner attendees. This option includes two registrations and access to the Convention registration list. Your logo will be featured on the Convention website, within the program, and on signage.

Vendor Reception–$3,000 (ten available) A new option and exclusive to this year’s setting is our vendor reception. Held in the Terrace Room on Thursday September 12 from 5-6:30pm, this is the perfect window to mingle with municipal managers, council members, League leadership, and more without having to stand behind a vendor booth all day. Vendors will be provided with a high-top table; pull up banners and small sized materials are encouraged. Complementary bar options will be available for vendors and attendees. This option includes one registration and access to the Convention registration list. Your logo will be featured on the Convention website, within the program, and on signage. Branded Welcome Bag–$5,000 (one available) Be the exclusive sponsor of the welcome bag given to each Convention attendee by having your logo on the bag front. Our staff will manage the process, you just need to provide the logo. This option includes one registration and access to the Convention registration list. Your logo will be featured on the Convention website, within the program, and on signage.

Branded Item in Welcome Bag–$3,000 (three available)

Get great brand exposure by providing a branded notebook, pen, or lanyard in Convention attendees’ welcome bags. Our staff will manage the process, you just need to provide the logo. This option includes one registration and access to the Convention registration list. Your logo will be featured on the Convention website, within the program, and on signage.
